AAHCP staff and consultants believe that our Ten Steps to Healthy Living will bring true meaning to the term 'healthy' to all who embrace them in their daily lives:

1. Eat wholesome meals with a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, and nuts. (dietary supplements can be helpful)

2.  Exercise regularly. (20 minutes per day minimum)

3.  Set goals in life and be accountable for your progress.

4.  Be organized.

5.  Be well informed about good health and prevention.

6.  Avoid bad habits like smoking.

7.  Drink plenty of fluids.

8.  Forgive yourself for mistakes and forgive others.

9.  Get an adequate amount of rest. (All humans benefit greatly from 8 hours of sleep)

10. Be friendly.
